He was conceived by Sonia Laviscount, an Englishwoman, and Eugene Laviscount, a bodybuilder of Antiguan ancestry. He studied at Ribblesdale High School in Clitheroe and received ten GCSEs there. He also participated in Carol Godby’s Bury theater workshop. Louis and Jules, two of his brothers.
